Antero Llamas was founded in 1991, and since 2006 has been operated by Bill Gardiner . The llamas are kept and cared for at his farm in Salida. Bill has extensive backpacking, hunting and outdoor training experience. He holds a degree in Wildlife Management from Colorado State University and when not working with his llamas, can be found serving as a Conservationist for the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service.

• Rental of pack llamas.
• Appropriate gear available for rent, including trailers.
• We can deliver to some trailheads for a fee.
• Instruction offered seasonally and upon request.
